Buying Grass-fed Beef
by Jolie
(California)
Hi Melissa,
I love what you wrote about
grass-fed beef - and totally agree! I have barely been eating red meat for months now, so have been supplementing with iron. However, ideally I'd like to look into buying grass-fed beef, like what you're talking about!
Do you know of any reputable farmers in the southern CA area? Or a good website to order from?
Thank you so much,
Jolie
ANSWERHi Jolie,
When looking to buy
grass-fed beef or pastured meats, check your local farmers market first.
If you don't know of any, try looking them up on this site:

If you still can't find any farmers close to you, you can always order online. But it's always good to support our local farmers first and foremost. Plus you won't have to pay shipping and you can actually visit the farm to see how they treat their livestock.
I've ordered from the company below and their meat is incredible:

Their livestock are truly grass fed and not just grass finished. The only reason I didn't order again from them is because I found a few local farms that sell the meat for a much cheaper price.
However you buy grass-fed meat, it's always best to buy in bulk - it will save you a lot of money.
Wishing you the best of health,
Melissa
