Natural Thrush Remedy

I have been looking for a thrush remedy for 3 months now and am tired of suffering with this. I have tried the traditional route of Nystatin and antibiotics and have had no luck.
I started probiotics with Natrum Muriaticum to try a natural remedy, but my tongue still feels like a furry foot and my throat is sore and lumpy. I have vitiligo as well, so I am guessing my immune system is low. Both of these problems do connect to a low immune system. Would love to hear if there are other ways of treating the immune system.
Many thanks.
RESPONSEHi Natasha,
Thrush is a symptom of a larger problem of
candida overgrowth.
Candida albicans reflects a larger problem with your
body pH (you're too acidic).
I do have suggestions for a natural thrush remedy, but keep in mind that you'll need to address the underlying issues for why you got this condition in the first place. See my page
natural candida cleanse and the other links above for that information.
Okay, with that said, let's go over a way to get rid of the yeast in your mouth.
The easiest remedy I can think of is
organic virgin coconut oil. I would use a two-fold approach.
First, use the coconut oil topically in the mouth. The best way is with a method called oil pulling. What you want to do is take a tablespoon (about 15 milliliters) of your coconut oil (again, you have to get UNREFINED - the refined stuff is terrible for your health) and place it in your mouth.
Let it melt and start swishing it around like mouthwash. It's called oil pulling because you "pull" it through your teeth and all around your mouth. Oil swishing would be a more appropriate name, I think.
Anyway, swish it all around your mouth until the oily feeling turns into a watery feeling - anywhere from 10-30 minutes. Yes, that long - find something else to do to distract yourself.
I'd also recommend doing this on an empty stomach. First thing in the morning works well. If you try this after eating, you might get nauseous and want to throw up. Don't say I didn't warn you!
When your time is up, spit it out in the trash. DON'T swallow it - because it will have dead candida, bacteria, plaque, and other gross stuff in it. Don't spit it into your sink either, as it can clog your drains.
Besides killing your oral candida (and thus eliminating your thrush), oil pulling will heal your mouth and gums and clean and whiten your teeth. I oil pull on a regular basis for these benefits.
Second, consume 1 teaspoon (about 5 milliliters) of the oil with a meal daily. If all goes well (no stomach or digestive distress), keep increasing the dose until you're at 3 tablespoons (or 45 milliliters) per day (split up over three meals would be best).
The medium-chain fatty acids found in unrefined coconut oil (caprylic acid, capric acid, and lauric acid) all work together to destroy candida. But you need to go slow so you do not trigger a bad die-off reaction. You want to kill the yeast slowly, not all at once.
So keep an eye out for
candida die-off symptoms and adjust your coconut oil consumption accordingly.
And don't forget about working on
body pH balance to keep the yeast from coming back.
Wishing you the best of health,
Melissa
